The Delta State Government has announced the maiden edition of its Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Summit, scheduled to take place from December 3 to 5, 2025, in Asaba. The initiative, organised by the Delta State Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (DEMSMEDA), is designed to strengthen the state’s business environment and expand opportunities for emerging and existing enterprises.
Three-Day Forum Targets Value Creation and Sector Visibility
Operating under the theme “Advancing Delta MSME: From Vision to MORE Value,” the three-day gathering will bring together entrepreneurs, business executives, policy experts and development stakeholders. The summit aims to evaluate the current landscape of the MSME sector, explore growth trends and address obstacles limiting expansion.
According to DEMSMEDA, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is expected to formally inaugurate the event. Celebrated entrepreneur and philanthropist Tony Elumelu, CFR, has been selected as chairman of the summit, underscoring its strategic relevance to the state’s long-term economic goals.
Registration Opens for Exhibitors, Innovators and Attendees
DEMSMEDA’s Executive Secretary and CEO, Dr. Godwin Adolor, described the summit as a landmark intervention intended to deepen the state’s MSME ecosystem. He said participants must complete an online registration process, whether attending, showcasing products, or presenting innovative business ideas.
The summit will be held daily from 10 a.m. at the Mariam Babangida Leisure Park, Asaba, which will host exhibitions, collaborative sessions and knowledge-sharing engagements aimed at enhancing MSME competitiveness.
Call for Stakeholder Participation
Adolor also extended formal invitations to dignitaries expected to deliver goodwill messages and urged all interested participants to finalise their registration via the agency’s official portal.
