Delta House of Assembly: Residents in Warri jubilate over tribunal victory of Hon. Obire

Some residents of Warri, were excited, over the tribunal victory of the All Progressive Congress (APC) member representing Warri South Constituency II at the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Benson Obire on Monday 2nd September, 2023.

Elder Arues Ideh who is an advocate of Wado City movement, attributed the love of the residents for Chief Obire to his electoral victory over the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate of Hon Matthew Opuoru, adding that the love goes beyond ethnicity or party membership.

“Hon Benson Obire is humble, transparent and approachable at anytime. That is why he is loved by all, irrespective of ethnic group or party affiliation,” he said.

A renowned unionist, Comrade Kingsley Orekevwie said that Hon Chief Benson Obire was a personality who every good minded person would want to identify with.

“He lives in the area; he was born and brought up in the area and he knows the aspirations of the people. So this is not an issue of ethnicity or party affiliation”, he said.

Also, the APC leader in Edjeba Ward, Hon Marcus Akuruli stated that the electoral victory of Chief Obire and the affirmation of the victory by the Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Asaba, was a testimony of the fact that the APC was in firm control of the constituency.

Meanwhile, Otovwodo (Agbassa) Community, the tradititioal headquarters of the ancient Agbarha Warri kingdom in Constituency 1, was in a festive mood over the tribunal victory of Hon Chief Benson Obire.

Obire, thanked residents for their support just as he solicited for their continued support and prayers to enable him carry out his good agenda for them.
