Delta State Police Command has arrested suspected cultist, armed robber, recovered two pump action guns, one cut to size gun, battle axe.
According to a statement signed by the Police Pubkic Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, it read, “On 18/06/2025 at about 12:20hrs Eagle-Net Surveillance Team stationed at Ughelli North LGA, while on Routine stop and search duty along Otokutu Bridge, Warri intercepted a black Toyota Corolla car with registration number RSH 90 RC driven by one Kelvin Richmond m’, aged 27 years, of Opete by Otokutu and one Frank Obiorah m’, aged 26 years of the same address.
“The vehicle and the suspects were subjected to a thorough search, a locally made cut-to-size gun, two (2) yellow hand-bands inscribed with NBM “neo black movement”, one battle axe and a wooden pistol, all concealed inside the compartment of the vehicle doors.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects are members of the Aiye confraternity, and they bought the gun in the year 2024 for the sum of eighty-seven thousand naira from another suspect presently at large. Suspects are in custody, and the investigation is ongoing”.
In an earlier development, “operatives of the Special Anti-Kidnapping and Cybercrime Squad, while carrying out an investigation against a native doctor by name- Okonji Chimeze m’ 47 yrs of Umuehe Quarter Ibusa, on 14/6/2025 at about 0630hrs, acting on a credible intelligence, operatives of the Special Anti-Kidnapping and Cybercrime Squad stormed the suspect’s residence at Ibusa.
“A search Warrant was executed at the premises of the suspect during which two automaticpump-action guns and one cutlass were recovered hidden inside the ceiling of the suspect’s room. The suspect and exhibits are in custody as the investigation is ongoing”.
