Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited, operator of Oil Mining Lease (OML) 30, has emphasized the importance of stakeholders particularly developers attending its upcoming Townhall Meeting on the Right of Way (ROW) for OML 30 oil and gas pipelines, scheduled for December 6 in Ughelli.
The Heritage representatives were present at an earlier townhall meeting on the same issue at Ishaka Hotel in Warri on Saturday. However, only a few developers attended, with the majority failing to show up.
Mr. Victor Orugbo, Pipeline Superintendent for Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited (OML 30), urged all stakeholders to participate, noting that the purpose of the meeting is to provide an open platform for dialogue.
He explained that contravention letters had already been issued, and the Warri meeting was supposed to be the next step in the engagement process. Since turnout was far below expectations, he is encouraging all developers to ensure they attend the rescheduled townhall meeting in Ughelli on Saturday, December 6, 2025.
Orugbo added that the Warri event was given sufficient publicity and expressed surprise at the developers’ absence. He stressed that the upcoming Ughelli meeting offers another chance for developers and other relevant stakeholders to voice their concerns and seek clarification.
Members of the Heritage team at the Warri meeting included Anderson Oviemaigho, Patrick Oghenero, Ubu Efemena, Yusuf Saibu, Azuma Cookey, Inana Akpomena, and Ochuko Egboduku.
NUPRC officials present were Ado T.Z and Karaye T.B., while the developers in attendance included Anthony Azeta (Ugbomro Pipeline), Newworld, and Chief Ese Emuedo.
