Guwor assures of continuous partnership with Edo State Assembly leadership

Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has reaffirmed its continuous partnership with the leaders of the Edo State House of Assembly.

This assurance was made during a reception for Edo State lawmakers, who were in Asaba for a three-day retreat.

Represented by Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowovwo, Guwor said that the two states are bound by common destiny and would ensure that the instrumentality of the Legislature is used to prosper the people.

Guwor maintained that Delta State is known for its hospitality to visitors, even as he enjoined the Edo Legislators to enjoy the conviviality and serenity in the State all through the period of their retreat.

Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Blessing Agbebaku, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality extended by their Delta counterparts.

While maintaining that both Edo and Delta States share common history, Rt. Hon. Agbebaku disclosed that both Legislative Arms will continue to foster mutual relationship in the interest of the two states.

Earlier, Guwor, along with principal officers and members of the Delta Assembly, welcomed the Edo legislators to the retreat venue, stressing the importance of capacity building in legislative duties.

As National Treasurer of the Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly, Guwor urged Edo lawmakers to collaborate closely with their Governor to accelerate state development.
