Igholuck Foundation donates cash to Delta Students for emerging World debate Champions in Qatar

The Igholuck Foundation founded by former House of Assembly aspirant in Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, Comrade Ighoyota Lucky has praised the performance of the Delta State students who recently emerged champions at the World Schools Debate Championship held in Doha, Qatar.

The Nigerian team, made up entirely of Delta state students, outperformed top contenders from the State of Chicago, USA, and Qatar to clinch the coveted global title.

The victorious team comprised Wisdom Chukwuma of Government College, Ughelli; Otorvo Uyoyou of Alegbo Secondary School, Effurun; Abraham Honour of Okpaka Secondary School, Okpaka; Ikhamateh Splendour of Government Model Secondary School, Asaba; and Alika Daniel of Utagba-Ogbe Grammar School, Kwale.

In a statement made available to journalists, Philanthropist Comr Ighoyota Lucky lauded the outstanding performance of the students and their teachers, pledging that the Igholuck Foundation will donate the sum N50,000 each to support and encourage the educational pursuit of the students with their teachers inclusive.

“It gives me great joy to learn of the remarkable performance of our students at the world event. Delta State overtime is a State that breeds intellectuals and wherever we go, we always stand out.

“To see these young minds making us proud outside the shores of Delta State and Nigeria gives me immense hope for the future.

“On behalf of myself and the IGHOLUCK FOUNDATION, we want to make a pledge of N50, 000 (Fifty thousand Naira) each for all participating students and their teachers inclusive.

“This token is our own way to show the students how proud we are of their achievement and also to spur them to work harder in their educational pursuit as we see great hope in our future through their intellectual prowess”. He concluded.
