The Member representing Ughelli South Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Festus Utuama has empowered One hundred and fifty constituents of the All Progressives Congress, APC, drawn from the various federal Wards of the local government with two hundred thousand naira each amounting to thirty five million naira to upscale their petty trade and craft.
The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Guwor at the direct Cash Empowerment program held at Otu- Ughievwen, headquarters of Ughelli South Local Government assured of the readiness of the eighth Assembly to continue to make laws and engage in Oversight that will secure a better standard of life for Deltans through the More Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
Presenting the cash Empowerment to the beneficiaries drawn from each Ward in the presence of key political leaders of Ughelli South, the speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Guwor stated that Hon festus Utuama is not a lukewarm house member but has distinguished himself as a true representative of the people of Ughelli South which he has exhibited through his valuable contributions to bill and oversight engagements.
Rt Hon Guwor represented by the Deputy speaker of the state House of Assembly, Rt Hon Arthur Akpovwowo, extolled the brilliant legislative prowess of Hon Utuama’s revealing that Hon festus Utuama has not for once missed legislative sitting urging the people of Ughelli South to continue to rally round him in his quest to ensure that his constituents get a fare share from the More Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori through enduring projects and programs.
Rt Hon Guwor who praised Hon Utuama for doling out thirty five million naira to demonstrate his commitment to grassroot development and the overall well-being of his constituents cautioned the beneficiaries against frivolous spending but use the funds to expand their petty trade and craft.
The member representing Ughelli South Constituency in the state house of Assembly, Hon Festus Utuama who gave an insight into the direct cash empowerment program thanked the people of Ughelli South for their overwhelming support before , during and after his election hinting that he will not betray their trust but continue to give impactful and purposeful representation at the hallow chamber.
Hon Utuama who disclosed that the beneficiaries were duely selected by the leaders of the party in their various wards said many have also benefited from his silent empowerment programmes in the past promising to capture more persons in the next phase of the programme which he said will run throughout the year.

The member representing Ughelli South Constituency who maintained that the direct cash empowerment program was in line with the More Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori assured that he would continue to raise the bar in grassroot representation and tasked the recipients to judiciously use the money to add value to their living condition.
In their remarks, a prominent leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ughelli South South Local Government, Olorogun John Oguma, the senior political adviser to the Governor, senator Emmanuel Agwhariawodo, the chairman of Ughelli South Local Government, Dr lucky Avweromre, Dr Chris Oghenechowen, Chief Adelabu Borjor, Hon Temple Umudi, Olorogun Samuel Oghotomo amongst other leaders praised Hon Festus Utuama for going out of his legislative business of making laws to ensure a better living for his people through the Empowerment program and assured that they are solidly behind him, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and President Bola Tinubu come 2027.
The political leaders in Ughelli South also salute Hon Utuama for giving grassroot representation a new meaning describing the cash Empowerment as massive stressing that it will in no doubt help to increase the winning chances of APC in the local government.
Some of the beneficiaries of the Empowerment program thanked Hon Festus Utuama for adding value to their lives assuring their continued support for him beyond 2027.
