As the 22nd National Sports Festival, tagged gateway games commenced at Abeokuta, Ogun State, the Delta State House of Assembly Committee Chairman on Youths and Sports, Mr. Emmanuel Sinebe has urged Team Delta to go for Gold in all the games and retain the National Sports Festival Trophy.
Mr. Sinebe who stated this at the opening ceremony of the games at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Ogun State commended the Sports Commission Executive Chairman, Mr. Onoriode Oborevwori for the excellent preparations given to the athletes for the Gateway Games.
He expressed optimism that Team Delta would retain the National Sports Festival trophy it won in the last edition of the festival hosted by Delta State and praised Team Delta athletes for their dedication and commitment to maintaining their fitness throughout the camping period in Asaba and Ogun State.

The Delta lawmaker urged them to strive for victory, and bring honour to the state.
”I express gratitude to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, for providing the necessary funds to ensure the athletes have access to the best sporting facilities”.
”As the Delta State House of Assembly Committee Chairman, my colleagues and I, will continue to support and enact legislation aligned with the MORE Agenda of the State Governor, with the goal of enhancing sports development in the state.”
