Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated the Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo, on the occasion of his 53rd birthday.
In a goodwill message released on Tuesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor joined lawmakers, the people of Ethiope East Local Government Area, Akpowowo’s associates and family in celebrating his life of service and dedication to public service.
Governor Oborevwori applauded the Deputy Speaker for his strong grassroots appeal, describing him as a leader noted for his political wisdom, humility and close bond with the people of Eku community and Ethiope East in general.
He observed that Akpowowo’s political career has been marked by consistency and growth, recalling his notable performance as Commissioner for Urban Renewal and his current role as Deputy Speaker. The governor also commended his contributions to legislative leadership alongside the Speaker, noting that his efforts have had a positive impact on governance and democratic advancement in the state.
“On behalf of my family, the government and the people of Delta State, I warmly congratulate our Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo, on his 53rd birthday,” the governor said.
He added, “I salute your steadfast commitment to legislative excellence and your purposeful use of public office to improve the lives of our people. Your service record speaks for itself, and your influence on Delta politics remains clear and lasting. I wish you good health, greater fulfilment and many more years of meaningful service to Delta State and humanity.”
