Oborevwori commends leaders, members for their support during the burial ceremony of his mother-in-law

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has appreciated guests for their support during the funeral ceremony of his mother-in-law, late Madam Agnes Avwenyotoma Tager.

Governor Oborevwori gave the appreciation on Sunday at the outing/thanksgiving service held at Christ Apostolic Church, Ughelli, in honour of his late mother-in-law.

The Governor, who was in company of his wife, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori and family members, said they were in the church to thank God for the successful and peaceful burial ceremony of their mother-in-law, mother and grandmother.

He said his mother-in-law law lived a glorious life and thanked all who contributed their time and resources for the successful burial ceremony.

He particularly commended church leaders, members and traditional rulers for standing firm with the family, pointing out that the family will continue to put their trust in God who knows the beginning and end of every creature.

Earlier in his sermon, titled “Do not kill trust”, Pastor Paul Onoroha, urged Christians to trust God in all situations as He is able to see men through all challenges.

The cleric said in other to gain trust, man must live up to expectation and have the right attitude to whatever they do in life, adding that when one is diligent in his work he would stand before kings.

Dignitaries at the outing service include; Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, State PDP Chairman Olorogun Kingsley Esiso, Members of the National Assembly and State Assembly including, Hon. Nicholas Mutu; Hon. Victor Nwokolo; Hon. Julius Pondi, Secretary to the State Government, Dr Kingsley Emu, Chairman Delta State Board of Internal Revenue, Chief Solomon Ighrakpata, Mr Mideno Bayagbon, Mr Hope Oborevwori, Chief Fred Majemite and Chief Kome Okpobor.

Also in attendance were members of the State Executive Council and top dignitaries and government functionaries, traditional rulers led by the Chairman State Traditional Rulers’ Council and Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, HRM Maj. Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (rtd) Orhue I, first Vice Chairman and Pere of Akugbene-Mein Kingdom, HRM Pere Stanley Luke, Kalanama VIII, Chairman Urhobo Traditional Rulers Council and Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, HRM Dr Emmanuel Sideso, Abe I, Ovie of Ughelli Kingdom, HRM Wilson Ojakovo Oharisi III, HRM Oghenekevwe Owin Kumane, Ovie of Evwreni, , and Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom, HRM Dr Monday Whiskey, Udurhie I, among others attended the thanksgiving service.
