Oborevwori mourns late Udu monarch, Owhorhu I

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has commiserated with the people of Udu kingdom over the passage of their Monarch, His Royal Majesty, Barr. Emmanuel Bethel Otete Delekpe, Owhorhu I.

In a condolence message to the people of Udu Kingdom and the Urhobo nation, signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, Governor Oborevwori extolled the virtues of the departed king, praising his remarkable leadership and steadfast commitment to unity and progress of the people throughout his 31-year reign.

“On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Delta State, I extend my deepest condolences to the family, Udu Kingdom and the entire Urhobo nation on the passing of His Royal Majesty, Barr. Emmanuel Bethel Otete Delekpe, Owhorhu I.

“His reign brought about notable development and cohesion within the kingdom,” he said.

Describing the late monarch as a symbol of wisdom, humility, and peace, Governor Oborevwori acknowledged his pivotal role in the cultural and socio-economic progress of Udu Kingdom.

Governor Oborevwori also offered prayers for a peaceful and divinely guided transition.
