Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has reiterated the unwavering commitment of his administration to ensuring that no resident of Delta State is excluded from access to quality healthcare. He emphasized that free medical services for pregnant women and children under five remain a cornerstone of the state’s health policy.

The Governor explained that his administration is investing heavily in the upgrading of healthcare facilities, improving conditions of service for medical personnel, and addressing the national challenge of medical brain drain.

He used the occasion to commend doctors, nurses, and other health professionals who have continued to serve within the state despite the lure of opportunities abroad, describing their dedication as genuine patriotism.

“Our administration is committed to achieving accessible and effective healthcare. Pregnant women and children under five will continue to enjoy free healthcare in Delta State. We are intensifying efforts to upgrade facilities and improve working conditions for health workers. Despite the challenge of brain drain, those of you who have remained deserve our deepest appreciation. Your commitment under very difficult circumstances is true patriotism, and I commend you all for your sacrifice and dedication,” the Governor stated.

Governor Oborevwori assured that his administration will continue to prioritize health infrastructure, modern equipment, and human resource development in order to guarantee reliable service delivery across the state.

He noted that these efforts are in line with the M.O.R.E Agenda, which emphasizes meaningful development, opportunities for all, reforms, and enhanced services in critical sectors such as health and education.
