Oborevwori shuffles cabinet, Information Commissioner reassigned

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has implemented a minor cabinet reshuffle, resulting in the reassignment of the State Commissioner for Information, Dr Ifeanyi Osuoza, to a new role.

Osuoza has been redeployed as the Commissioner for Special Duties in the Government House, while Charles Aniagwu, the Commissioner for Works (Rural and Riverine Roads), has now been designated Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Festus Ahon, confirmed the development during a conversation with journalists on Sunday.

“Dr Ifeanyi Osuoza is being redeployed as Commissioner for Special Duties, Government House, while Aniagwu is to oversee the Information Ministry,” Ahon stated.

Aniagwu, a seasoned communicator, previously served as Commissioner for Information under former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa from 2015 to 2023.

In the current administration, he was appointed Commissioner for Works (Rural and Riverine Roads) before the slight adjustment in portfolios.

According to a statement released on Monday by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Kingsley Eze Emu, the realignment of portfolios is critical and necessary in furtherance of the implementation of the MORE Agenda of thr administration and takes immediate effect.
