The Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Augustine Ogedegbe has pledged to work diligently to deliver dividends of democracy to the people.
In a statement on Monday, when he officially resumed duties with a renewed commitment to selfless service, the council boss declared his readiness to discharge his responsibilities with diligence, integrity, fairness, and accountability to the people of Ethiope East Local Government Area.
“Back to work mode with fresh energy, fresh targets, and a clear mindset,” Ogedegbe said, emphasising that every decision would be guided solely by public interest while all efforts would focus on improving lives across communities.
He promised to remain accessible, transparent, and responsive, assuring collaboration with stakeholders at all levels to drive development, promote peace, and ensure governance aligns with the aspirations of the people.
“Together, we will make 2026 a year of progress, impact, and visible results,” the chairman affirmed.
Hon. Ogedegbe also extended warm felicitations to elder statesman, Chief Pa Godwin Ogbetuo, on the occasion of his 96th birthday celebration.
On behalf of himself, his family, and the entire people of Ethiope East, the council chairman hailed Chief Ogbetuo’s exemplary life of service, integrity, and selflessness, describing it as a guiding light for generations.
He noted that the celebrant’s immense contributions to good governance, peace, and unity had profoundly shaped the local government area, adding that his leadership and wisdom continued to inspire progress and serve as a model for others.
While praying for God’s continued blessings, good health, and strength upon the nonagenarian, Ogedegbe wished him many more years of meaningful service to the community.
