Okowa Unveils New Athletics Federation Of Nigeria Board

Chief Tonobok Okowa, newly re-elected President of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), has introduced fresh appointments to the federation’s board.

Dr. Samuel Kolawole Oredipe, Vice-Chairman of the Bayelsa State Athletics Association and founder of Samkay Athletics Club, will serve as the Federation’s Auditor.

A former middle-distance runner, Dr. Oredipe also serves as Assistant Director of News at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria and as Director-General of New Media to the Bayelsa State Governor.

Other key appointments include Dr. Nneka Nkem Anibieze as Chief Operating Officer, Barrister Bamidele Edokpaye as Legal Adviser, and Mr. Babajide Odedeji as Safeguarding Officer.

The announcement came shortly after President Okowa was sworn in for a second term during a ceremony in Abuja.
