A sports commentator has reported that Zeki Uzundurukan has confirmed Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen’s official transfer to Galatasaray.

Uzundurukan shared this information while elaborating on Galatasaray’s transfer strategies, highlighting that the Turkish champions have also secured deals with two other players following Osimhen’s permanent move from Napoli.

“Victor Osimhen always planned to stay at Galatasaray from beginning to end, and the thought of a transfer to Saudi Arabia never crossed his mind,” Uzundurukan stated.

“President Dursun Özbek managed the process exceptionally well. If it had been another Turkish club with €150 million at their disposal, they might not have been able to pull off this transfer.

“There were people who tried to sabotage Victor Osimhen’s transfer, and some who intervened. This transfer was made possible because of Osimhen’s unwavering stance.

“Osimhen has arrived. Galatasaray has also reached agreements with two additional players, one of whom is a goalkeeper… They will soon announce these signings as well,” he continued.

This comes after Galatasaray vice-president Abdullah Kavukcu remarked that no one should mock the club regarding Osimhen’s permanent transfer.

Kavukcu mentioned that Osimhen is so enthusiastic about joining Galatasaray that the 26-year-old forward rejected impressive offers from other teams.

Galatasaray and Napoli had already settled on bank guarantees and payment terms concerning Osimhen’s transfer.
