Our VIO staff are well trained - Ehiwario

Ehiwario warned that VIO staff found wanting would be dealt with accrodingly

Delta State Director, Vehicle Inspection Office (VIO), Vincent Ehiwario says their staff across the state are well trained and do not jump inside or block moving vehicles unnecessarily as the are poised to prevent accidents across the state by effectively ensuring safety on the roads.

Ehiwario gave this charge in an interview with YourCitiNews Freelance Correspondent, Fredrick Umuerure in Effurun, Uwvie Local Government Area of Delta State.

He noted that Delta State Vehicle Inspection Office (VIO) staff will never ask for any money be paid to them as all default payments are made in the bank. He also urged road users to be vehicle compliant to avoid payment inducement by any officer, as those found wanting would be dealt with accordingly.

With regards to their responsibility on roads across Delta State and the laws they operate on, Ehiwario added that they operate differently from the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC). He further clarified that they both have different job descriptions while on duty.

The Director also pointed out that VIO staff are always with their identification card and should never be mistaken for other officials on the roads across the state motorists usually complain about.
