The crash occurred in the wake of a reported breakup between Peller and fellow content creator Jarvis. Jarvis publicly addressed the incident, revealing that Peller has been struggling with emotional challenges and had previously expressed threats of self-harm. Jarvis emphasized the need for Peller to be given space and support to improve his mental well-being.

While Jarvis has appealed to the public for understanding and support for Peller rather than mockery, law enforcement agencies are taking a firm stance on the safety implications of the incident. The Lagos State Police, in conjunction with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), intend to prosecute Hamzat for dangerous driving. Both agencies have underscored the critical importance of accountability for road safety and the protection of all citizens.

The incident highlights growing concerns about mental health challenges among public figures and the serious consequences of reckless behaviour on public roads. Investigations are ongoing, and further details are expected as the legal process unfolds.
