The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ethiope East LGA held a resounding rally, and a powerful demonstration of unwavering strength and unity.
This was contained in a statement signed by the APC Media/Press Team, Ethiope East LGA, Delta State, on Thursday.
According to the statement, “this rally serves as a clear and unequivocal message: The APC is firmly entrenched in this region, and we are united.”
Adding: “This rally is particularly significant as we extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to His Excellency, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, and the esteemed members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who have made the momentous decision to join our ranks. We recognize and applaud their genuine commitment to the progress and development of Delta State.
“The defection of Governor Oborevwori and his supporters marks a watershed moment in Delta State politics. The APC is now, without question, the dominant political force in the state. No other party can rival our strength, our reach, or our dedication to the people of Delta State.
“We therefore seize this opportunity to call upon all sincere and faithful members of the former PDP within Ethiope East LGA to step forward and join us. We urge them to embrace the unity that strengthens us all. We are one family, one party, and together, we will build a brighter future for our party – the APC, and our community.
“This rally also allows us to express our profound gratitude to our esteemed political pillar of the APC in Delta State – His Excellency, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege CFR, KSJI, the Obaisi of Urhobo Nation. His visionary leadership and unwavering dedication have been instrumental in building the APC into the formidable grassroots-based party it is today. We strongly acknowledge his political sagacity and thank him for his tireless service.”
The statement said further: “We now turn our attention to His Excellency, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori. We urge him to lead the newly unified APC in Delta State with integrity, fairness, and justice. The APC, already a powerhouse, has been further strengthened by the influx of new members. We implore him to treat every registered member — both those of the aboriginal APC and the former PDP — as equal members of one united family. It is crucial that he leads with the fear of God, ensuring equitable treatment for all.
