In a gesture described as both rare and deeply symbolic, the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Kestin Pondi, has presented a fully furnished residential apartment to his longtime aide, Otiki John, in appreciation of his loyalty, commitment, and years of dedicated service.
The presentation took place on Saturday and drew high-profile dignitaries, including the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, the Executive Director of DESOPADEC, Chief Kome Ozoko, and the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Chief Dennis Otuaro. Their presence highlighted the significance of the occasion and underscored the positive leadership culture that Tantita Security is projecting under Pondi’s stewardship.
Speaking at the event, High Chief Pondi emphasized that the gesture was a deliberate demonstration of reward for loyalty and hard work—qualities he described as increasingly rare in contemporary society. He noted that Otiki John had served faithfully for years, often under demanding conditions, and had consistently demonstrated integrity, humility, and unwavering trust.
“This is not just a gift,” Pondi remarked, “it is a statement. It is saying that loyalty matters. Commitment matters. When people give their best to you, you must recognize them. Otiki represents the kind of character that should be celebrated.”
In response, the beneficiary, visibly moved, expressed profound gratitude to his principal, describing the moment as life-changing.
He pledged to continue serving with dedication and to uphold the values that earned him the recognition.
Dignitaries who delivered goodwill messages praised Pondi for setting an example of leadership that uplifts others. They noted that rewarding loyalty has a ripple effect—strengthening organizational morale and encouraging a culture of service rooted in trust, respect, and mutual growth.
The event was widely celebrated on social media, where many described it as a refreshing counter-narrative to stories of neglect of subordinates and aides in both public and private sectors.
Community leaders say the gesture reinforces the bond between Tantita and the communities in which it operates, particularly as the organization continues to play a critical role in protecting Nigeria’s oil infrastructure and boosting national economic security.
The ceremony concluded with cultural displays, prayers, and a reaffirmation of commitment to service, leadership, and community upliftment.
