Leaders of Tisun Community Management Council in Warri North Local Government Area have sworn in a new set of executives to pilot the affairs of the community for the next four years.
The new executives, led by Mr. Omajugho Sunday, were inaugurated on Wednesday, in a ceremony presided over by elders and critical stakeholders in Tisun Community.
The new executive, led by Mr. Omajugho Sunday, took their oath of office at Tisun which is an Itsekiri community hosting international oil companies, including Chevron Nigeria Limited and pledged their allegiance to serve dutifully.
During the handover of the constitution and documents, the former chairman, Comrade David Odeli, urged the new leadership to surpass his administration’s achievements by attracting more development to the community.
Speaking on behalf of the Elders’ Council, Gabriel Tsani noted that the Omajugho Sunday-led executive represents a continuation of the previous administration’s development process to ensure steady progress.
Other stakeholders also commended the past leadership for its remarkable contributions and expressed confidence that the new executives would sustain the legacy of service.
Tisun Chairman, Mr. Omajugho Sunday, said the new executive will work collectively to design a formula that guarantees the well-being of the community.
He stressed that his administration will prioritize youth education and create stronger synergy with the government and oil companies operating in the area to drive more development projects that will benefit the people.
On his part, the Secretary of Tisun Community, Mr. Frederick Kukeh, assured that due processes would be followed to achieve the desired progress.
The executives also pledged to foster peace and unity among members of the Tisun community.
