Airport Row: Influencers VeryDarkMan and Mr Jollof Trade Blows on Asaba–Lagos Flight

A heated confrontation between Nigerian social media personalities VeryDarkMan and Mr Jollof erupted aboard a United Nigeria Airlines flight from Asaba to Lagos on Monday, escalating their long-running online hostility into a physical clash.

According to passengers, the altercation began mid-flight and intensified after landing, with both men seen exchanging punches in the aisle.

Cabin crew swiftly intervened to separate the pair as shocked travellers recorded the incident, clips of which are now circulating widely on social media.

Witnesses say the disagreement was fueled by weeks of online bickering between the two influencers. VeryDarkMan later alleged that Mr Jollof struck him first and even bit him during the scuffle, claims that have further fueled public debate over the clash.

Airline officials confirmed that both men were escorted off the aircraft to prevent further disruption, describing the behaviour as unacceptable and potentially dangerous in the confined space of a commercial flight.

Authorities are yet to release an official statement on whether further action will be taken, but the incident has drawn widespread criticism online, with many calling for stricter enforcement of in-flight conduct rules.
