Tompolo Rejects Claims of Issuing Ultimatum to FG Over Nnamdi Kanu

Former Niger Delta militant leader and Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, better known as Tompolo, has denied any connection to a viral social media post claiming he made comments about IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu.

In a statement released on Sunday by his media consultant, Dr. Paul Bebenimibo, Tompolo dismissed the report as false and malicious. He said it was the work of people trying to tarnish his image and distract him from his ongoing efforts to curb illegal oil operations in the Niger Delta.

“We want to make it absolutely clear that Tompolo did not write or have anything to do with that publication. High Chief Ekpemupolo has no involvement whatsoever in matters concerning Nnamdi Kanu,” the statement said.

The former militant leader explained that those behind the false claims were simply trying to damage his reputation because of his firm opposition to oil theft and other criminal acts harming the country’s economy.

“These individuals have failed and will keep failing, as he remains committed to his mission of completely eliminating illegal oil operations in the region,” Bebenimibo said.

Tompolo reiterated his loyalty to the Federal Government and vowed to keep supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Renewed Hope Agenda. He also praised the administration for its dedication to strengthening national security and reviving the economy.

He further reaffirmed his support for President Tinubu’s second-term bid, emphasizing his continued commitment to the government’s development agenda. “Once again, we urge the Federal Government and the public to disregard the false publication,” the statement concluded.
