Warri Again: Davido visits Olu of Warri, reveals how feud with Amaju Pinnick was resolved

Nigerian artiste, David Adeleke, popular known as Davido, has revealed how he and former President of Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, Mr. Amaju Pinnick settled their differences.

Recall that Mr. Amaju Pinnick, owner of Brownhill Event Inc, the organizers of the popular show, “Warri Again” had dragged Davido to court, over issues of Davido’s non – appearance in the 2023 edition of Warri Again, held at Brownhill Colloseuim, Ogunu – Warri.

The famous music sensation while speaking in Warri, Delta State, Saturday October 5, during a courtesy visit to the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, said: “It was unfortunate that I couldn’t make it to his show the last time. I entered his house at about 12 midnight on the advice of elders in my family and we were together from 12 midnight to 5 am. That was how everything ended. Warri people were  so excited as we drove from the airport.”

Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Comrade Weyinmi Isaac Agbateyiniro, who spoke earlier, stated: “Amaju Pinnick, needs to be recognised for promoting Warri for the past 20 years, through Warri Again show. It was also good that the Amaju – Davido story ended on a positive note. The wisdom, is exemplary. A lot of persons are going to learn from it.”

The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, who noted that he was glad to see that Amaju Pinnick and Davido resolved “the unnecessary feud” averred:

“Amaju has done us very proud as Warri people, in terms of this event (Warri Again) for many years.

“God has blessed us in this town with talents, in the  arts, music and other areas. There’s abundance of talent in this town and I hope that this show (Warri Again) will continue to inspire others.

“The world is hearing Africa’s voice through entertainers like you (refering to Davido, Phyno, AY and the others featuring in this year’s edition of Warri Again). Africa is going to save this world, they (the West) don’t know yet.”

Mr. Amaju Pinnick, led by the Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, later commissioned Noble Trust Hotel & Suite at Ajamimogha Road, Warri.

Mr. Pinnick, declared that the hotel becomes official partner of Warri Again show.
