Warri: Economic activities to get boost in Ubeji, environs as Wema Bank prepares for take-off


The densely populated communities of Ubeji, Egbokodo, Ifie-kporo, Ijala-Ikeren and Aja-etan in Warri South Local Government Area and neigbouring Jeddo, Ugbokodo and Ughoton in Okpe Local Government Area, are set to experience increase socio-economic activities, as a major financial institution, Wema Bank, is set to begin operation any moment from now.

The Bank, which is situated at Ubeji, is one of the several efforts by the Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Comr. Agbateyiniro Weyinmi Isaac, to fast-track the economic revival of Warri and environs.

Despite the growing population in Ubeji, Egbokodo, Ifie-kporo, Ijala-Ikeren, Aja-etan, Omadino, Obodo, Oteghele, Ukpokiti, Jeddo, Ugbokodo and Ughoton, there is no commercial bank operating in these communities.
