Warri Wolves Turn to Usman Abdallah After Aluma’s Exit

The management of Warri Wolves has placed head coach Napoleon Aluma on compulsory leave following Sunday’s 4–2 defeat to Shooting Stars Sports Club at the MKO Abiola Sports Complex.

The decision marks the second time this season that Aluma has been asked to step aside from his role.Notably, his first spell of enforced leave came earlier in the campaign after a 2–1 home defeat — also against Shooting Stars — in the reverse fixture.

The recurrence of setbacks against the Ibadan-based side appears to have prompted renewed action from the club’s hierarchy.Sources within the Warri-based outfit confirmed the development, indicating that the management is seeking an immediate response to stabilise results.

Former international Usman Abdallah is expected to assume the interim charge of the team. He could be joined by Ndubisi Ndah as part of a restructured technical crew, although official confirmation from the club is still pending. Warri Wolves will now look to regroup as they aim to revive their campaign following a difficult run of form.
