World Hepatitis Day: Delta Provides Free Screening, Vaccination Across Health Centres in the State

As the world observes World Hepatitis Day 2025 themed “Hepatitis: Let’s Break It Down”, the Delta State Government, under the leadership of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori launched a free hepatitis screening and vaccination program.

The initiative includes free screenings for Hepatitis B and C and free Hepatitis B vaccinations across various health centers in the state, such as Asaba Specialist Hospital, Delta State.

The program is aimed to raise awareness, promote early detection, and reduce the prevalence of hepatitis infections among residents.

It also featured educational outreach to inform the public about the risks and prevention of hepatitis, emphasizing the state’s commitment to improving healthcare access and overall welfare.

The event featured free screening for Hepatitis B and C, health talks by medical experts, and free Hepatitis B vaccination.

It underscores ongoing efforts to advance preventive healthcare in line with the Governor’s MORE Agenda.
