In a strong demonstration of its commitment to improving security in Delta State, Zane Energy Limited has donated two Sienna patrol vehicles to the Orogun Divisional Police Station and the Abraka Police Station.
This thoughtful gesture highlights the company’s dedication to supporting law enforcement efforts and promoting peace and safety across the state.
Speaking to journalists during the official handover ceremony, Comrade (Dr.) Kelly Efemena Umukoro a human rights activist and the representative of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) on the Delta State Community Policing Committee praised the Chairman of Zane Energy, Mr. Jimmy Omo-Agege, for his generosity and proactive role in strengthening public security.
Dr. Umukoro noted that both police divisions were in urgent need of logistical assistance to perform their duties more efficiently. He expressed optimism that the donated vehicles would greatly boost their operational effectiveness and improve response times.
He expressed particular excitement that one of the vehicles was assigned to the Abraka Divisional Police Station, located in his area of residence.
He emphasized that the donation comes at a crucial time and will significantly strengthen community security while restoring public confidence in the region. Dr. Umukoro, who also serves as the Director of Youth Affairs for the Traditional Chiefs of Urhobo Land Association, urged the police divisions to use the vehicles responsibly, ensuring they fulfill their intended purpose of enhancing community safety and protecting lives and property.
Describing the donation as “a commendable act of corporate social responsibility,” he encouraged other private sector organizations to follow Zane Energy’s lead by supporting security initiatives within their communities.
