Agbi Inspects Ongoing Projects, Says Oborevwori’s Development Agenda Will Create Jobs for Deltans

The Special Adviser to the Delta State Governor on Project Monitoring, Dr. Good News Agbi, has inspected several ongoing infrastructure projects across the state as part of efforts to ensure quality delivery and timely completion.

Speaking during the monitoring exercise, Dr. Agbi said all projects awarded by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori are strategically designed to drive sustainable development and improve the living standards of residents across Delta State.

He noted that the administration remains committed to impactful projects that will stimulate economic growth and enhance connectivity.

Dr. Agbi disclosed that the Delta State Economic Free Trade Zone, when fully completed, would create significant job opportunities for Deltans, boost industrial activities, and attract both local and foreign investments to the state.

During the tour, the Special Adviser visited the Aboh–Akarai Road in Ndokwa East Local Government area approximately 10.1 kilometres with the construction of the road itself and a major bridge across the Okiri River and the reconstruction/ repaire for about 22.6 kilometres of road and failed culverts runs between Uzere in Isoko South LGA and Asaba-Ase in Ndokwa East Local Government Area projects, which are being executed by Lebetech Construction Limited.

He assessed the level of work done and stressed the importance of adherence to specifications and project timelines. Dr. Agbi also inspected facilities at the Delta Wire Company located within the Delta State Economic Free Trade Zone in Kwale.

He described the company as a key component of the state’s industrialization drive and a clear indication of the Oborevwori administration’s focus on economic diversification and job creation.

The monitoring exercise underscores the state government’s resolve to ensure accountability, value for money, and the successful execution of projects that will have long-term benefits for the people of Delta State.

Dr. Agbi was accompanied to the inspection by the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Project Monitoring, evaluation and auditing, Engr. Philip Ugboma, Odion Odafe, Special Assistant to the Special Adviser, Project Monitoring.
