Delsu Reassures Students of Merit Based Admission

Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, has reiterated that admission into the institution is based solely on merit.

The university cautions all admission seekers against paying money to anyone purporting to secure admission on their behalf.

The warning was issued in a statement signed by DELSU’s Public Relations Officer, Henry Eseka.

The statement expressed the university’s disappointment that despite numerous announcements and disclaimers, some candidates continue to fall victim to admission scams and extortion.

Meanwhile DELSU has indefinitely postponed the Personnel Verification Exercise initially scheduled for Monday, August 25, 2025.

A new date for the exercise will be communicated in due course. The university apologized for any inconvenience caused by the postponement.
