The Delta State Government has taken a significant step toward overhauling its justice sector, reaffirming its commitment to a fully digital, technology-driven system designed to accelerate service delivery and improve public trust.
The Ministry of Justice announced that the digital transformation agenda is now entering a new phase, positioning the state as a national model for modern justice administration.
According to the Ministry, the ongoing reform programme is structured to eliminate bottlenecks, streamline court and administrative processes, and create a more transparent environment for legal practitioners and citizens.
Officials say the digital transition will drastically reduce delays, enhance coordination across departments, and ultimately deliver quicker, smarter justice outcomes.
A major component of the initiative is the state’s partnership with LawPavilion, a leading Nigerian legal-tech provider.
The collaboration is expected to equip the justice system with real-time case management tools, automated workflow tracking, and advanced data-analytics dashboards accessible to the Attorney-General, Solicitor-General, Directors, and state counsel. These tools will enable real-time performance monitoring, precise oversight, and evidence-based decision-making across all units of the Ministry.
Beyond technology, the Ministry emphasized that the reform is driven by broader policy restructuring and institutional strengthening.
The goal is to build a justice sector that is not only efficient but also accountable, transparent, and responsive to the needs of the public.
Officials noted that the future of justice in Delta State is built on three pillars: speed, accuracy, and accessibility. By integrating digital systems into daily operations, the state aims to reduce paperwork, cut processing times, and ensure that legal services are delivered with greater clarity and consistency.
As Delta State advances this transformation, it signals a shift toward a justice system powered by innovation—one that meets global standards and supports citizens with reliable, technology-enabled solutions.
