DSC Roundabout to Close for Five Weeks Over Ongoing Construction

The Delta State Government has announced that the DSC Roundabout will be temporarily shut to vehicular traffic from Monday, February 24 to Monday, March 31, 2026, to enable contractors complete ongoing construction work and finish linking roads beneath the flyover.

The move is part of a broader effort to upgrade infrastructure and ease traffic congestion around the Effurun axis.

Officials explained that throughout the closure, only motorists traveling between Effurun and Ughelli will be allowed to use the existing flyover. Drivers heading to Otokutu, Mofor, and nearby communities are advised to take alternative routes such as Ugbomro Road, Uti Road, PTI Road, and other connecting roads, following directions from traffic officers on duty.

The government emphasized that the temporary restriction is necessary to complete key connections under the flyover, which will improve traffic flow in the long run. Commuters and commercial drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and cooperate with traffic personnel managing the diversions.
