Governor Oborevwori Committed to Ensuring Adequate Security in the State – Dr. Emu

The Secretary to the Delta State Government, Dr. Kingsley Emu, says the strategic Interventions and Development track of the present administration has strengthened the growth of the state.

Dr. Emu speaking shortly after the State Security Council Meeting said as a result of the gains recorded in security of lives and properties in the state, most people were relocating to Delta State.

The SSG noted that so much was going on in the fight against criminality in the state, adding that the synergy among various security Agencies in collaboration with the state Government, was yielding impressive and remarkable results

Dr Emu noted that Delta State Government placed premium on intelligence, pointing out that it was for this reason that a lot of un-manned non-state actors as well as state actors are undercover to make sure that they get information which was helping the state Government curb insecurity.

The SSG further disclosed that the state Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu was directed by the State Security Council to relate with all security Agencies in the state either collectively or individually as far as crime reporting is concerned.

While emphasizing that Media reportage was very critical to the security of lives and property in the state, Dr. Emu stated that effective community policing was also essential in complementing the efforts of security Agencies in mitigating crimes.
