Oluremi Tinubu Honoured with Chieftaincy Title in Warri Kingdom

The First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, has been conferred with a chieftaincy title by the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, during her visit to the Warri Kingdom.

She was also invested with the Royal Order of Iwere (ROI), the second highest title in the kingdom, reserved for distinguished sons and daughters of Warri who have excelled in their various professional fields.

The conferment ceremony took place in the presence of prominent traditional rulers, including the Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and the Orhue I, alongside other notable monarchs.

The visit holds deep personal and cultural significance for the First Lady, who is maternally connected to the Warri Kingdom, making the event both an official engagement and a homecoming.

Also in attendance were Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori; Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Emomotimi Guwor; member of the House of Representatives, Thomas Ereyitomi; other top government officials; and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
