Nigerian singer Keshinro Ololade, widely known as Lil Kesh, was reportedly stabbed during a robbery in Lagos on Wednesday. The 29-year-old artist also had jewelry worth millions of naira stolen by the attackers.
The incident has stirred widespread concern on social media, as fans have taken to various platforms to share prayers and messages of support.
According to Hip TV, Lil Kesh was stabbed in the neck as the robbers made away with his valuables. So far, neither the singer nor the Lagos State Police Command has issued an official statement about the incident.
Ololade Popularly known as Lil Kesh was born and raised in Bariga, an area in Lagos State. He attended Stockbridge College for his primary and secondary education, and then proceeded to the University of Lagos, where he studied Linguistics. Later, he moved on to the National Open University and studied Mass Communication online.
Lil Kesh rose to prominence in 2014 with his breakout hit “Shoki” and has since been a prominent name in Nigeria’s street-hop music scene. Throughout his career, he’s worked with major artists such as Olamide, Davido, Wizkid, amongst others.
