Kano Pillars FC announces that its Technical Adviser, Usman Abdallah, has resigned from his post effective immediately due to personal reasons.
The coach informed the club management of his decision, noting that a significant opportunity has emerged that he believes cannot be pursued while fulfilling his current responsibilities without risking both positions.
After detailed discussions, both parties agreed that it would be in the best interest of the club’s future for him to resign.
Abdallah was appointed just weeks before the commencement of the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season and successfully led Sai Masu Gida to an impressive 9th-place finish, earning 53 points from 38 matches, which marked an improvement of six points over the previous season.
In a recorded message to the fans, Abdallah expressed his gratitude and shared his heartfelt thoughts, stating, “Due to a significant opportunity that has come my way, I have decided to resign as the Technical Adviser of this prestigious club.
I had previously informed the Chairman of this matter, and we came to a mutual conclusion that it would be in the club’s best interest to appoint someone who can fully commit to progressing the team.
“While I am stepping down, I will remain a supporter of Kano Pillars FC from afar and offer guidance whenever needed. This club symbolizes our pride, and I am always willing to aid its success in any way possible.
