With Oborevwori at the helm, Delta State won’t miss out on federal opportunities — Dafinone

Senator Ede Dafinone, who represents Delta Central Senatorial District, has promised that Delta State will no longer be overlooked when it comes to federal benefits and appointments. He credited Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s leadership for restoring strong coordination and influence for the state at the national level.

Speaking to party leaders, elected officials, local government chairmen, women’s groups, and youth representatives, Senator Dafinone expressed frustration over years of marginalization. He explained that the state’s political representation in Abuja had been weakened by fragmented channels, causing Delta to miss out on important opportunities.

“Up until April this year, federal positions meant for Delta State were getting tangled up in too many different channels, and as a result, we were losing out,” he said, earning nods of agreement from the audience.

He also pointed out that even within the All Progressives Congress (APC), there was a long-standing frustration about Delta’s limited share of federal appointments. “Most people here from the APC will tell you that we simply weren’t getting our fair share of federal positions,” he added.
