Benikrukru Community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Delta State, is preparing for a landmark occasion as it concludes arrangements for the formal inauguration of its newly elected Executive Council.
The ceremony, scheduled for Tuesday, November 25, at the Oboro Ultra-Modern Playground, is expected to draw an impressive lineup of Niger Delta leaders, making it one of the community’s most anticipated civic events in recent years.
High Chief Kestin Pondi, Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, will chair the ceremony. His involvement signals strong support for the community’s governance transition and underscores the importance of the new leadership to regional stability and development.
The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has been announced as the Special Guest of Honour. His attendance further elevates the event’s political significance, as Benikrukru seeks to strengthen partnerships geared toward socioeconomic advancement.
Adding to the roster of distinguished guests is High Chief Dennis Burutu Otuaro, PhD, Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).
Otuaro’s expected presence reflects the community’s ongoing engagement with wider peacebuilding and human capital development initiatives in the Niger Delta.
In a statement issued by the outgoing community chairman, Comrade Joel Tonjoh, it was confirmed that Niger Delta foremost leader and Gbaramatu national figurehead, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (popularly known as Tompolo) will attend the inauguration. The revered Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom will preside as the Royal Father of the Day, lending cultural and traditional authority to the proceedings.
With the convergence of prominent figures in security, governance, traditional leadership, and regional empowerment, Tuesday’s inauguration promises to be a defining moment for Benikrukru.
