Delta HostCom Chairman Commissions Eight Sienna Buses to Boost Operational Efficiency

The Delta State Chairman of Host Communities Producing Oil and Gas (HostCom), Comrade Sunday Enujeke, has commissioned eight brand-new Sienna buses to strengthen the operational capacity of the organization across the state.

Speaking at the official commissioning ceremony, Comrade Enujeke explained that six of the vehicles have been allocated to Chairmen of the six ethnic nationalities represented in HostCom, while the remaining two were designated for the offices of the State Chairman and Secretary.

To ensure seamless deployment, each of the buses has been duly registered and supported with ₦200,000 for fueling. Enujeke emphasized that the development lays to rest various allegations and acts of blackmail aimed at his leadership, reaffirming his dedication to accountability and service delivery.

He described the commissioning as part of a broader three-phase capacity-building strategy. According to him, the first phase involved empowering hundreds of indigenes from oil and gas-producing communities through their ethnic leaders. The current commissioning marks the second phase, while the third—ongoing renovation of the HostCom National Secretariat—is nearing completion.

Enujeke expressed heartfelt appreciation to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for approving the needed funds and offering continuous support. He also acknowledged the contributions of former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) in actualizing the project.

The high point of the event was the symbolic handover and unveiling of the vehicles, met with resounding applause and commendation from attendees.
