The Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations in Delta State, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has reaffirmed that security operatives remain determined and will not be deterred in the fight against crime.
In a Facebook post on Friday, Adejobi dismissed claims that law enforcement officers could be intimidated or forced into inaction, insisting they remain resolute.
“They think they can bully us into silence and make us ineffective. That will never happen,” he wrote.
He went on to stress the police command’s commitment to ridding Delta State of criminal activities, including kidnapping and drug-related offences, warning that offenders would have nowhere to hide.
“We are committed to sanitising Delta State. There is no space for criminals, drug lords, traffickers, their accomplices, or kidnappers. We will track them down,” he added.
Adejobi also described policing as both a duty and a passion, assuring residents that officers are ready to step up operations across the state.
“Policing is not just our job, it’s what we love to do,” he said, signing off with “Hakuna matata,” a phrase reflecting calm confidence despite the situation.
