Gunmen Abduct Sapele LG Chairman Abeke After Hotel Attack

Gunmen on Friday night reportedly kidnapped the Chairman of Sapele Local Government Area, Hon. Bright Abeke, in Delta State. He was said to have been taken from his hotel, Debroefed, located along Owumi Road in Sapele.

According to eyewitnesses, the attackers arrived in a Range Rover and began shooting at his security team before taking him to an unknown location.

During the incident, one of his security aides, CSO Ufuoma Asagba, was shot. However, his condition had not been confirmed at the time this report was filed.

The attack has caused fear among residents, who are now urging security agencies to respond quickly. Many have also called for all entry and exit points in Sapele to be secured to aid efforts to rescue the chairman and apprehend those responsible.

As of now, authorities have not released any official statement regarding the incident.
