Youths stage protest in Effurun seeking justice for Mohbad who died under mysterious circusmtances on September 12.
In response to the tragic demise of Nigerian artiste Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad, some youths in Delta State have staged a street protest seeking justice for Mohbad.
In videos captured online, the youths in their large number, staged the protest which kicked off from Effurun Roundabout. They carried placards while demanding justice for the late singer.
During the protest, the youths voiced their opposition to Marlian music and demanded that the person responsible for Mohbad’s death be held accountable. The video footage has sparked reactions, with many calling for similar protests to be organized in other states.
The untimely passing of Mohbad has shed light on the numerous issues within the music industry.
One particularly disturbing controversy that emerged after Mohbad’s death was a viral video showing Naira Marley’s associate, Sam Larry, harassing the late artiste. The disturbing footage depicted Mohbad appearing distressed and uncomfortable, raising serious questions and concerns among fans and the public.
Furthermore, videos surfaced showing Mohbad with injuries following an altercation with Sam Larry, which only added to the already murky circumstances surrounding his death. These visuals sparked outrage and renewed demands for clarity and justice.
Later discoveries revealed that Mohbad had filed a police petition against Sam Larry and others after he was assaulted during a video shoot with Zlatan Ibile.
Responding to the situation, the Nigerian Police established a special investigation team to uncover the truth behind Mohbad’s death. This information was revealed during a meeting on Monday where the Lagos State Police Command inaugurated a 13-member special investigation team tasked with probing the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s demise.
