NYSC Sets Date for 2025 Batch B Stream II Orientation Across the Country

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course will kick off nationwide on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, in all designated orientation camps.

In an update shared on its official Facebook page on Monday, the NYSC stated that registration will remain open until midnight on Friday, September 26, 2025. The swearing-in ceremony is also scheduled to take place that same Friday. The three-week orientation programme will wrap up with a closing ceremony on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

However, the NYSC noted that the orientation exercise in Kwara State will start a bit later, running from Tuesday, September 30 to Monday, October 20, 2025.

The NYSC Director-General, Brigadier-General Olakunle Nafiu, has called on all Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) to report to the orientation camps assigned to them, as stated in their call-up letters. He also emphasized the importance of strictly following all registration guidelines.

Foreign-trained graduates must bring along their international passports and the original versions of any documents they uploaded. Meanwhile, graduates from polytechnics and monotechnics are expected to present their National Diploma certificates.

He also cautioned that anyone caught with fake documents will be reported to the appropriate law enforcement authorities.

For those who have lost their call-up letters, the NYSC advises that anyone who collected theirs from their school should get a police report and a sworn affidavit, then go back to their institution for a replacement. However, if you printed your letter online, you can just reprint it.

Speaking on safety, the DG warned prospective corps members against traveling at night. He advised that once it’s 6:00pm, they should stop over at the nearest military or police barracks, NYSC secretariat, or corps lodge.

He also urged them to use only government-approved motor parks and registered transport companies to avoid falling into the hands of criminals.

The NYSC also issued some additional guidelines:

Married women, as well as pregnant and nursing mothers who are posted to states different from where their husbands live, can attend the orientation camp in their state of residence—so long as they provide valid proof of marriage and residency.

All corps members are required to bring their original call-up letters, school ID cards, statements of result or certificates, and a medical fitness certificate from a government or military hospital.

Medical and allied health graduates must also present proof of registration with their professional bodies.

Brigadier-General Nafiu concluded by wishing all PCMs safe travels and a successful service year.
