Urhobo politicians with governorship ambitions for 2027 have been urged to shelve it and queue behind Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to complete his two terms in office.
The executives of Ughelli South Political Colonel, a political pressure group of the All Progressives Congress, APC, speaking during familiarization visit to the political leader in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Olorogun Patrick Fovie at his Ughevwughe residence to abreast him of the party’s core objectives and seek his blessings.
The Chairman of the Ughelli South Political Colonel, Olorogun John Ewenede, told the elder statesman that the group is grass-root oriented saying its membership cut across wards in Ughelli South Local Government Area.
According to Olorogun Ewenede, the pressure group is working to ensure Governor Oborevwori is the sole governorship candidate of the APC ahead of the 2027 polls and he appealed to politicians of Urhobo extraction with governorship ambition to wait till 2031.

Olorogun Ewenede further disclosed that the pressure group is determined to spread political awareness amongst people of Ughelli South locality.
The Chairman of Ughelli South Political Colonel said that the group is working in alignment with the leadership of the Party and other leaders towards the victory of APC in 2027.
The former Chairman of Delta Central Senatorial District of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olorogun Patrick Fovie while hailing the leaders and members of the Ughelli South Political Colonel, welcomed the objectives of the group noting that they are in alignment with his aspirations for President Tinubu, Governor Oborevwori and the APC at large.
He pledged his partnership with Ughelli South Political Colonel to achieve their collective aspirations.
The Ughelli South Political Colonel had visited the Chairman of APC in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Sir Isaiah Kekeje and another APC leader, Olorogun John Oguma.
