PDP in Udu Local Government Area Presents Welfare Packages to Widows

The Peoples Democratic Party in Ward 7 Ovwian Community in Udu Local Government Area has presented cash gifts to widows in the ward.

Speaking at a ceremony where cash was presented to widows in Ovwian community, the PDP Coordinator in Udu, Comrade Johnbull Kenairu, commended the ward leaders for their efforts in strengthening the party and for initiating gestures that bring relief to widows.

He assured members that better days lie ahead for the PDP, urging them to remain united and steadfast.

Also addressing the gathering, the Acting Chairman of PDP in Ovwian Ward 7, Comrade William Saiki, noted that the community has been a stronghold of the party since 1998 and would continue to grow in influence.

Other ward leaders, including Olorogun Matthew Uparan and Sir Lawson Agberia, explained that the cash gift represented two months’ arrears of support for widows.

They added that the initiative was funded through contributions by party leaders and assured that more widows in the ward would soon benefit from the empowerment programme.

Some of the benefitting widows expressed appreciation to the leaders of the PDP in Ovwian Ward pledging their unalloyed loyalty to the party.

The Acting Executive of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Ovwian Ward 7 led by Comrade William Saiki was also inaugurated.

Other leaders of the PDP present at the event include Chief Magamu.
