The Agbarho Divisional Police and the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) hosted the Ughelli Area Commander, Mr Aliyu Shaba, at the PCRC Auditorium, Agbarho.
The visit by the Ughelli Area Commander, Mr Aliyu Shaba, was aimed at familiarizing himself with the Agbarho Kingdom and establishing a cordial working relationship to enhance security within the local government area.
Mr Shaba emphasized the need for members of the public to promptly report suspicious activities to the police to ensure a safer environment.
He also charged officers to maintain good conduct at all times while warning those engaged in criminal activities to desist or face the full wrath of the law.
In his welcome address, the Divisional Police Officer, Mr Pius Eredei, described the maiden working visit of the Area Commander as timely, saying it would further boost security administration in the area.
He outlined some challenges confronting the division but expressed confidence that with close collaboration, such issues would be tackled effectively.
Also speaking, the Chairman of PCRC Agbarho Division, Pastor Kesiena Nomouja, and Patron, Chief Gabriel Ojoba, pledged full support for the police.

They promised to embark on meaningful infrastructural development, including completing the 300-seat PCRC auditorium and toilet facilities, while also assisting security agencies with vital information to curb crime in the area.
Earlier, the PCRC National Chairman, Comrade Monday Agbi, inaugurated the new executive led by Pastor Nomouja, charging them to expand membership and build on existing achievements.
On his part, the Delta State PCRC Chairman, Comrade Oliver Eyefia, reminded members of the need to always uphold the core values of the committee, stressing that security is indispensable for the growth and development of society.
The highpoint of the ceremony was the presentation of certificates to the PCRC Agbarho Division executives and patrons by the Ughelli Area Commander, Mr Aliyu Shaba.
