Delta Unveils Tech Week 2025 to Drive Innovation, Youth Empowerment, and Digital Growth

ASABA, October 7 – The Delta State Ministry of Science and Technology, in collaboration with the Delta Tech Ecosystem, has officially announced the commencement of Delta Tech Week 2025, a weeklong technology and innovation festival slated for December 1–5, 2025, in Asaba, the state capital.

The annual event—one of the largest gatherings of innovators, startups, and tech enthusiasts in the South-South region—is dedicated to advancing digital transformation, fostering innovation, and empowering young people with the skills needed to thrive in the digital economy.

Speaking at the launch, officials from the Ministry emphasized that Delta Tech Week 2025 will feature a lineup of engaging and high-impact activities, including a Hackathon, Women-In-Tech Summit, Developers’ Festival (DevFest), and a Job Fair designed to connect Delta youths directly with employers.

The Job Fair will offer on-the-spot interviews and recruitment opportunities, bridging the gap between talent and industry demand.

The initiative, the Ministry noted, aligns with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E. Agenda, which prioritizes Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security.

Through this vision, the administration seeks to position Delta as a leading hub for technology, creativity, and innovation-driven growth.

By fostering collaboration among tech stakeholders, startups, investors, and government agencies, the event aims to accelerate digital inclusion and support the State’s long-term goal of building a knowledge-based economy.

According to the organizers, Delta Tech Week 2025 will not only showcase the State’s growing innovation ecosystem but also spotlight local talents and entrepreneurs contributing to Nigeria’s expanding tech landscape.

The Ministry encouraged youths, innovators, and investors to participate actively in the event, describing it as “a celebration of the future, powered by technology and driven by Delta’s creative energy.”
