Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, has praised the Adesuwa-Uadiale Foundation for donating educational materials valued in the millions of naira to Erhavwen Primary School in the Ekrerhavwen Community, Ughelli North Local Government Area.
Speaking at the recent handover of books, school bags, writing materials, and newly installed toilet and water facilities, Governor Oborevwori emphasized that education is the foundation of any thriving society and a vital force for national development.
Governor Oborevwori, represented by the Deputy Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Sir Monday Onyeme, commended the Adesuwa-Uadiale Foundation for its generous donation of educational materials to Erhavwen Primary School in Ekrerhavwen. He praised the gesture as a valuable part of the foundation’s “Back to School” initiative.
Governor Oborevwori, speaking through his representative, noted that under the MORE Agenda, the state government has made significant strides in improving education by building infrastructure, hiring more teachers, and supplying essential teaching materials. He emphasized that every child, no matter their background or situation, deserves access to quality education.
He also expressed the government’s willingness to partner with the Adesuwa-Uadiale Foundation to further support education in the state.
Dr. (Mrs.) Enojare Uadiale, founder of the Adesuwa-Uadiale Foundation, in a speech delivered on her behalf by her husband and co-founder, Prof. Michael Uadiale, said the foundation is driven by a mission to plant seeds of hope in the lives of children.
She noted that the foundation’s impact goes well beyond education, highlighting its medical outreach efforts across 12 African countries—including a mission to Irrua in Edo State, Nigeria—where it has provided free healthcare and support to underserved communities.
The foundation also supports women and young professionals through various mentorship programs such as Jewels of Excellence, H.E.R, IGNITE, and the Kingdom Builders Club — all aimed at raising leaders who embody integrity, excellence, and godly success.
Dr. Uadiale explained that the foundation was established in memory of their late daughter, Adesuwa. Since its inception, thousands of children have benefited from school bags, learning materials, food, and educational seminars designed to inspire and support their education. She encouraged the pupils to pursue excellence and not be afraid of making mistakes, reminding them that setbacks are often part of the journey to success.
The community’s President General, Chief David Agbru, along with the school’s Head Teacher, Mrs. Agbogidi, expressed deep gratitude to the Adesuwa-Uadiale Foundation for the generous “Back to School” initiative. They noted that the support would ease the financial burden on parents and help improve the school’s overall health and learning environment.
