Police arrests two suspects with pistol, bullet in Agbor, Delta State

Police operatives from Agbor Division in Delta State on routine anti-crime patrol have arrested two suspects with a locally fabricated pistol and a live bullet.

The suspects, Collins Anthony, 34, and Stephen Goddey, 30, were arrested during a search of a tricycle along Baleke Street, Iregua, Agbor.

Delta State Police Command Public Relations Officer DSP Bright Edafe confirmed the report in a statement signed and made available to Daily Post.

According to him: “The team sighted a motorcycle with three passengers, carrying a bag. On sighting the police officers, two of the passengers, Collins Anthony and Stephen Goddey, both residents of Agbor community, jumped out of the motorcycle and took to their heels, but the police officers went after them and arrested them.”

Edafe alleged that “preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects belong to a criminal syndicate terrorizing Agbor community and its environs.”
