Motorists and tricycle operators along the ever-busy Express Junction–Otor-Udu route can now heave a sigh of relief as the Olorogun Vincent Oyibode–led administration has commenced concrete piling to fix the failed sections of the road.
Chairman of Udu Local Government Olorogun Vincent Oyibode while supervising the excavation of the failed portion of the road by Daddy Bakery said the ongoing concrete piling will bring a permanent solution to the frequent failure of the road pending the construction of the road by the state government.
This is the situation motorist and other road users plying the ever busy express junction to Otor Udu faced on a daily basis despite several remedial work carried out on the bad spots of the road by authorities of Udu Local Government.
Worried by the huddles motorist and tricycle riders faced when plying the route and his commitment to find lasting solutions to the sorry state of the road, the Udu council chairman has commenced a concrete piling of the bad.
When Drtv news visited the bad spot by Daddy bakery bulldozers and other heavy duty trucks have been mobilized to commence the repair work immediately.
In a chat, some traders and tricycle riders narrated how the deplorable state of the road has affected their businesses and hailed the Udu council chairman Olorogun Vincent Oyibode for the initiative to use concrete piling as a solution to the bad portions of the road.

The chairman of Udu Local Government Olorogun Vincent Oyibode who visited the site to personally supervise the job decried the fact that despite several measures carried out to rehabilitate the road the bad spots have continued to fail due to the swamping nature of the road.
Olorogun Oyibode disclosed that with the concrete piling which will be carried out on the three major bad spots of the road by Daddy bakery, Ovwian secondary school and by John Jeff will bring a permanent solution to the deplorable state of the road pending the full construction of the road by the state Governor Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.
Olorogun Oyibode while assuring the commitment of his administration to make life meaningful for the Udu people appealed to road users to exercise patients and show cooperation during the construction period.
It is expected that the concrete piling will savage the deplorable situation on that route to make driving from express junction to Otor Udu enjoyable.
